I’m BEE WONDER and I’m your host and guide for the book episodes and interpreter because most of my 15 bee friends can’t speak English. First of all, and central to the nature of my special and unique bee friends, is that each of them is linked by name and purpose to a specific virtue or value ‒ Virtues like …well, you’ll see as I introduce you to them.

Bee Excited, the youngest Virtue Bee, reminds us to celebrate the joy around us. Stand up and share your enthusiasm!

She reminds us all to be kind to ourselves and others.

Warns others to stay safe and avoid danger.

Bee Truthful

Performs the “Waggle Dance” to honestly guide other bees “to nectar and pollen.

Learns that confidence comes from practice and determination.

Bee Fair

Loves sharing and welcoming everyone to parties.

Bee Smart

Speaks English, uses math/logic, and helps solve problems for the hive.

Bee Loving

Expresses affection and love for fellow bees and nature.

Bee Brave

Rescues friends from dangerous situations like hungry spiders or predatory ants.

Bee Playful

Brings joy, fun, and games to the hive.

Appreciates gifts, friends, and the beauty of nature.

The Queen Bee

Speaks English and rules over Beewonderland; she commands unique designs for each bee so she can tell them apart.

Waspy

A mischievous character who becomes a hero after discovering new flower patches.

Bumbles

A clumsy bumblebee who accidentally knocks over pots but ends up helping save Beewonderland alongside Waspy.

Billie Beekeeper

Active Play

Billie Beekeeper reminds children that moving, playing, and exercising are even better with a friend.

Becky Beekeeper

Healthy Eating

Becky Beekeeper encourages healthy eating in a positive, age-appropriate way.

Bee Wonderland is designed for children ages 3 to 8+, when many social and emotional virtues are beginning to form. The stories and characters can support home reading, classroom conversations, lesson plans, and early learning activities.
